Provacative thought for the day...

Regarding the issue of abortion, why is it that if the Mars Explorer were to discover a single-celled amoeba on Mars all of the media and the scientific elites would be boldly proclaiming the discovery of life on Mars? Yet here on earth, a living multi-celled "fetus" (which if left alone would mature into a person), by these same people, is not considered life? The fact that it has a heartbeat and measureable brain wave activity are inconsequential to these people. How can you justify killing this living thing? Think about it...
